Wow... I honestly cannot believe that it's been a month since I last blogged. Where has the time gone? What have I been up to? Have I lost any weight?

I don't know if I've lost any weight or not. I haven't weighed myself in months, but I do feel like my clothes are fitting a bit looser. So... I guess I've lost a little weight.

Not much has changed on the home front. I'm trying to stay positive, but I find that very difficult at times.

Sorry I haven't posted for awhile. I know that some of you do worry about me. I will try to pop in more often.

An Apple a Day


Come fall, one of my favorite things has always been the annual trek to the local apple orchards to ogle, and eventually buy, a bunch of beautiful, tasty, and nutritious apples. In years past, most of the apples I bought were made into pies. And, oh my... they sure were yummy! hehe

But these days... I'm trying to avoid pie of any sort. And, I was just wondering... do any of you have any healthy apple recipes that you'd like to share? I do love eating fresh apples as a snack... but sometimes I am in the mood for something just a little bit more exotic than that. Know what I mean?

So... if any of you have any tasty and nutritious apple recipes... I'd sure appreciate hearing from you! Thanks in advance! :)

Walking Tall


So... I have some absolutely wonderful news to share today!

Remember how I started going for walks recently? Well... I would walk the same route all the time, and when I first started walking.... it would take me about 45 minutes from beginning to end.

I've also been working out on an elliptical, and my walks were not as regular as they had been in the beginning. And this past Monday evening, I decided to go for a walk... the first walk I'd had in about 2 or 3 weeks.

Well... I took my regular route, expecting to finish in about 45 minutes. But... much to my surprise and delight... it only took me 31 minutes to finish! I had cut off 14 minutes... and I hadn't even tried!

I was SO happy when I realized how much improvement I had made in such a short period of time! I honestly could not believe it. I am amazed that my body has responded so quickly to the little changes I have begun to make. And I know if my body's performance will improve so quickly and drastically... yours will, too! So never, ever give up!
